Dimethyl adipate (DMA) is a colorless and transparent oily liquid, which can be dissolved in alcohols, ethers and most organic solvents, but not in water. Its freezing point is 10 to 11℃, relative density is 1.064 at 25℃, boiling point is 109 to 110℃ at 14mmHg, refractive index is 1.4283 at 20℃, flash point is 107℃.

This product is mainly used in the production of powder coating curing agent (HAA) in the coating industry, as a raw material for the preparation of 1,6-hexanediol and as a raw material for pesticide and pharmaceutical intermediates. It is also used as a solvent in the ink industry and as an auxiliary in the paper industry.
